 The Lake Winnipesaukee Antique Trail  

Distance: 79 miles

Highlights: visit antique 25 antique shops, where collectors collect and dealers buy. Dealers are all located in quaint towns and villages adjacent to Lake Winnipesaukee. Collectibles on offer include furniture, glassware, lighting, jewelry, folk art, antiques, books, phonograph records, pottery, trunks, old toys, etc. The list of treasures goes on and on.

Many shops have seasonal hours. It's advisable to call ahead for an appointment, especially in winter months. The detailed antique trail provides the name, phone number and focus of each dealer.

You've had a delicious Glynn House breakfast. It's time to hit the road and explore one of the largest collections of quality antique shops in New Hampshire. Leave the Glynn House and take US Route 3 south toward Meredith.

Meredith shops are located on Main Street, Route 3 and Route 25 east.

After leaving Wolfeboro, take Route 109 south until intersecting with Route 28 south. Continue until reaching Alton and Route 11 north. Take route 11 Lake Winnipesaukee passing West Alton and Glendale. After reaching Route 11b, continue driving north toward Weirs Beach and Meredith. At the intersection with Route 104, turn left taking Route 104 west toward the intersection with Pease Road (Route 132). Turn left at the late, and drive a short distance before reaching 126 Pease Road.

Country antiques, furniture art, collectibles & more; Return to Winona Road and continue driving west past Winona Lake and into Ashland. Drive across Route 3 and continue up Highland Street until reaching the Glynn House. Coffee, tea and delicious freshly baked cookies will be waiting. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served before its time to head out for dinner.
